The payment story in Belgium is quickly told: the stake goes in through Bancontact, card or app, and what comes out lands on your account. Payconiq by Bancontact was renamed Bancontact Pay in March 2026.
Per transaction Bancontact Pay lets €1500 through, and €2500 per day. Deposits land instantly; budget one to three working days on the bank side for the payout, with the site's internal handling added to that.
Opening and verifying an account
Signing up looks roughly the same on every site: identity details that match, and a check on them. An ID and something that evidences your address usually suffice.
Support here usually runs in English, and a complaint cannot reach the Gaming Commission. Leave the transaction mails in your inbox; that is what remains if a discussion ever arises.
What the law imposes
On player protection, Belgium sits more firmly than players tend to expect and it is built that way on purpose. On any licensed site the weekly limit defaults to €200. Lowering it is immediate, adjusting upwards follows a check and a term.
The Gaming Commission keeps one central exclusion register in EPIS: the exclusion applies instantly across the whole licensed landscape. The request goes through the regulator itself. For casino, gaming hall and betting the bar has been 21 since September 2024; lottery products are the exception at 18. It applies online and on-site.

- Does Bancontact work here?
Bancontact is accepted almost everywhere for deposits, not for withdrawals. The deposit shows on your account immediately. Reckon on a minimum of around €5.
- How does wagering work?
Always work the wagering through: 35x on a €50 bonus means €1,750 of turnover before a payout. The terms usually sit at the bottom of the bonus page. Without converting to euros a percentage says nothing.
- How do I self-exclude?
EPIS is the central register — registering is enough to stay out everywhere at once. Physical venues will refuse you afterwards too. Registration runs through the Gaming Commission.
- Is there tax on winnings?
Not for the player. Belgium taxes the operator, not the winner. Ask for advice if large amounts are involved. No declaration is therefore needed.
- Does Subito hold a Belgian licence?
